Jimmie L. Smith, age 91, of Sikeston, died March 28, 2015, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born January 31, 1924, in Formosa, Ark., to the late Claude and Hettie Bell Barnes, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief. She was married to Herman Smith, who preceded her in death on January 2, 2012.

She is survived by two daughters, Jo (Ron) Bloemer and Karan (Rick) Wibbenmeyer, all of Sikeston; and one brother, Claude (Mary) Barnes, Jr. of St. Charles. Also surviving are seven granddaughters, Kelly (Marty) Williams, Melanie (Bobby) Lowe, Tory Hillis,...

Jimmie L. Smith, age 91, of Sikeston, died March 28, 2015, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She is survived by two daughters, Jo (Ron) Bloemer and Karan (Rick) Wibbenmeyer, all of Sikeston; and one brother, Claude (Mary) Barnes, Jr. of St. Charles. Also surviving are seven granddaughters, Kelly (Marty) Williams, Melanie (Bobby) Lowe, Tory Hillis, Heather (Fred) Drury, Whitney Winchester, Mandy (Greg) Sitz and Kylie (Ben) Sexton; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death her son, Dwayne Smith; one grandson, Wade Smith; four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of the Cape County Cowboy Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marty Williams, Fred Drury, Phillip Warren, Greg Sitz, Bay Winchester, Sam Drury and Haden Hillis.
